Privacy Policy
Website Launch Check is the ChatGPT and Codex plugin for Wolcost LaunchCheck, a read-only website launch-readiness checker operated through wolcost.online. This policy explains what information is processed when you use the website or the plugin.
Information you provide
When you run a scan, you provide a public website URL. LaunchCheck does not require an account, password, payment information, precise location or administrative access to the target website. Do not submit passwords, API keys, private tokens, health information, government identifiers, payment-card information or other sensitive or restricted data in a URL.
Use through ChatGPT or Codex
When Website Launch Check is invoked through ChatGPT or Codex, the public website URL selected for scanning is sent to our MCP server at wolcost.online. The server performs the requested read-only scan and returns the relevant launch-readiness result to OpenAI for display in the conversation. We do not request the full conversation history and do not use the plugin to reconstruct it.
Information processed during a scan
LaunchCheck requests the submitted public webpage and may request public supporting resources such as robots.txt and sitemap.xml. It processes response headers and limited HTML and metadata needed to evaluate the defined launch checks. The target website may receive the scanner request and may log it under that website's own policies.
Data minimization in scan results
Website Launch Check is designed to return technical diagnostics rather than copies of webpage content. The report does not intentionally reproduce page-body content or the text of the target page's title, meta description, H1 heading, Open Graph title or Open Graph description. It reports technical indicators such as presence, length, status, percentages and header availability.
Why we process information
We process the submitted URL and public website response only to perform the requested scan, produce the report, protect the service from abuse, troubleshoot failures and maintain service reliability. We do not use scan contents for behavioral advertising, user profiling or sale of personal data.
Recipients and service providers
Information may be processed by our hosting and infrastructure providers as necessary to operate the service. When the plugin is used in ChatGPT or Codex, the scan request originates through OpenAI and the result is returned to OpenAI. A scanned third-party website also receives the normal HTTP requests needed to perform the scan. We do not sell scan data to data brokers.
Storage and retention
LaunchCheck does not maintain an application database of scan history. Website content fetched for a scan is processed transiently and is not intentionally retained by the application after the response is produced. Our hosting provider's standard Pro runtime-log window is currently 1 day; optional observability features can extend that window to 30 days. We do not intentionally create a separate long-term archive of scan contents or routine request logs. We review support and privacy correspondence for deletion after 24 months from closure unless we need to keep it longer for an active security investigation, dispute or legal obligation.
Cookies and advertising
The website uses Google AdSense code for site verification and, if approved, advertising. Third-party vendors, including Google, may place or read cookies, use web beacons, IP addresses or similar identifiers, and may use advertising cookies to serve ads based on a visitor's prior visits to this site or other websites. Google and its partners may use advertising cookies to personalize ads where permitted. Users can manage or opt out of personalized Google advertising through Google Ads Settings. More information about how Google uses data on partner sites is available at Google's partner-sites privacy information. Where required, consent choices will be collected through a Google-certified consent management platform. The Website Launch Check MCP tool itself does not insert advertising into scan results.
Your choices and privacy requests
You can choose not to submit a URL or not to use the plugin. Because we do not maintain user accounts or an application scan-history database, there may be no stored scan record for us to retrieve or delete. For access, correction, deletion, objection or other privacy requests concerning information we control, contact info@qix99.com. We may need enough information to identify the relevant correspondence or operational record.
Children and general audiences
Website Launch Check is a general-purpose developer utility and is not directed to children under 13. Users should not submit personal or sensitive information about children in scan URLs.
Security
LaunchCheck validates URLs and blocks obvious private, loopback, local and reserved network destinations. It also applies request, redirect, timeout and response-size limits. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Changes
We may update this policy when the service, plugin or data practices change. The effective date above identifies the current published version.
